wood-countertops-02Most people are finding that wood makes an excellent countertop on their center islands. We’ve seen many of our wood countertops get placed over islands that have faux fieldstone, quarried stone, or brick sides. It’s a splendid flip-flop of design. We’re happy to collaborate with you to select the right woods and right finish to work into your kitchen design.

We frequently use a product call Rubio Monocoat which is mix of boiled linseed oil, catalytic driers, and waxes. It stands up well against common spills including coffee, wine, vinegar, etc… If damage does occur, it is very easy to repair. For more on this topic, read more in the wood countertop finishes section.

Most of our reclaimed wood countertops are around $85 per square foot depending on the wood species, thickness, overall size, and texture. Some unique varieties run as much as $125 per square foot.
