Barn Wood, Beadboard,
Wood Paneling and Wainscot
Antique Woodworks reclaims a wide variety
of ceiling and wall coverings including: weathered gray barnwood, red barnwood, corrugated tin, Doug Fir beadboard, and naily elm.The applications of the wood are virtually unlimited. We've seen people use the wood for traditional wainscot, stair tread risers, floor-to-ceiling paneling, accent walls, and wood ceilings. Customers will place the wood vertically, horizontally, at 45 degree angles, or in herringbone patterns.
All of our wood is kiln-sterilized to 135 degree or more core temperature. This is a particularly important step for barn siding
as it kills any molds, mildew, or other fungi that may have been growing on the wood. This also "cooks" any annoying little
critters such as powder post beetles. Wainscot is just a variation of paneling. The primary difference is that does not cover all of the wall. It usually covers the lower 38-45" or it reaches to 5' to 6' off of the floor. Where available, each of the paneling selections have an option for wainscot height or standard. Baseboard and chair rail is also available for wainscot. Most of our paneling is sold in random length, except in the case of wainscot. Please browse through the styles on the left to find just the right look for your home or business. Give us a call. We often have little batches here and there of special things such as pickle vat redwood.
