 This piece just had a great natural, tree-like face along with 100-year-old circle saw marks on the top and bottom faces. Like all of our wood, this is another reclaimed piece. It happens to be an old red oak "sleeper" beam (think floor joist) from a barn in Wisconsin. It has some nice old circle saw marks as well as lots of little beetle holes. Because this is pre-done mantel, it's running a little less expensive than a custom selected mantel.
