 This red oak barn beam mantel has lots of great old character and great color. It’s has lots of neat texture on the top. We left the deep crack open on the top; it was just great character. It has a more or less flat face with a slight rounding near the bottom. There was one patch required on the bottom side to fill a hole. The beam comes from a early 1900’s barn in Minnesota. Because this is pre-done mantel, it's running a little less expensive than a custom selected mantel. It can be cut shorter if that fits your fireplace better.
