 A great mix of flowing tree-like character and original old ax marks. Nice medium color with pleasant accents. This piece of oak is relatively uncommon. They usually hand hewed the side, or left it natural. Rarely, did they do this kind of half-a-job to get the beam flattened out. This beam came from an old log cabin dating back to the late 1800s. It’s is a pretty hefty beam at nearly 8 inches by 10 inches by nearly 7ft. We can cut down to 6ft and reduce the price. Below 6ft, we’ll need to talk about the price.
