Imagine an old log building construction of oak logs spanning as long as 28 feet! One of these big boys weighs upwards of 1000 pounds each. That must have given the horses a good tug. This wood is full of character and beauty. It was taken from a log barn and cabin that was built in then 1870s in Ellsworth, Wisconsin.
This flooring is 3/4 inch thick tongue-and-groove. The majority of the pieces are in the 5 inch to 6 inch range.
Janka Scale: 1360 (5% greater than red oak)
