Reclaimed Red Oak is the traditional hardwood floor, and with good reason. Oak offers a strength, durability, and beautiful flowing grains. It is also easy to work and accepts stain finishes exceptionally well. Oak is the single most popular wood variety for flooring in the United States. The Antique Woodworks' Reclaimed Red Oak hardwood floor has a medium hue with a comfortable amount of nail holes and powder post beetle trails. If you're lucky, you'll find an original wooded peg that has been glued into a mortise hole. Of course, all of our wood is endowed with a wonderful sense of history But in addition, we can offer wide plank and tongue-and-groove sizes up to 8 inches in width -- much larger than the traditional 2+ to 3+ inch sizes of oak.
